Install Sattotal as an app
Install Sattotal on your phone, tablet or computer straight from the browser, with no Google Play or App Store: steps for Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, Mac and Linux, and how to uninstall it
Sattotal can be installed like any other app on any device: it shows up with its own icon on the home screen of your phone or tablet, or on your computer's desktop and taskbar, and opens in its own window, full screen and without the browser bar. You don't download it from any store: you install it from the browser itself in a few seconds. It's the same application, with the same account and the same data, and you can uninstall it whenever you like without losing anything.
No stores, no downloads
No need to look for it on Google Play or the App Store. It installs from the browser, asks for no permissions and takes up hardly any space.
Opens like an app
Its own icon, its own window and full screen: no tabs or address bar taking up room.
Always up to date
There are no updates to install. Every time you open it, you have the latest version.
Your data doesn't live on the device
Everything stays stored in Sattotal. If you lose your phone or uninstall the app, you don't lose a single repair or customer.
The “Install Sattotal” prompt on the Dashboard
When you open the Dashboard in a browser that supports installing, you'll see a discreet line at the top that says “Install Sattotal on this device”. On Android and on a computer, the “Install” button opens the browser's install window directly. On iPhone, iPad and Safari on Mac, the “How to install” button shows you the steps, because Apple doesn't allow installing from a button. If you close it with the X, it won't appear again in that browser. On Android and on a computer, it stops showing on its own once the app is installed; on iPhone, iPad and Safari on Mac the browser can't tell, so close it with the X after you install the app. Even if you've closed it, you can install the app at any time by following the steps on this page.
How to install it on each device
Android: Chrome, Edge or Samsung Internet
Open Sattotal in the browser and sign in. Tap the browser menu (the three dots ⋮ in Chrome and Edge, the three lines ☰ in Samsung Internet) and choose “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”, then “Install”. The Sattotal icon appears on the home screen and in the app list of your phone or tablet. Firefox for Android has the same “Add to Home screen” option in its menu.
iPhone and iPad: Safari, Chrome or Edge
Open Sattotal in the browser. Tap the Share button, a square with an arrow pointing up: in Safari it's in the bottom bar on iPhone and the top bar on iPad, and in Chrome or Edge it's next to the address bar. Scroll down the menu, choose “Add to Home Screen” and tap “Add”. From Safari it works on any version; from Chrome or Edge you need iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later.
Windows, Linux and Chromebook: Chrome or Edge
Open Sattotal in the browser. In Chrome, click the install icon that appears at the right of the address bar (a screen with a down arrow), or open the ⋮ menu and choose “Cast, save, and share” and then “Install Sattotal…”. In Edge, open the ⋯ menu, go to “Apps” and choose “Install Sattotal”. Confirm with “Install”. Sattotal opens in its own window, is added to the Start menu, and you can pin it to the taskbar.
Mac: Safari, Chrome or Edge
In Safari, on macOS Sonoma (14) or later: open Sattotal, go to the “File” menu in the menu bar, choose “Add to Dock…” and click “Add”. In Chrome and Edge it works the same as on Windows. The app stays in the Dock and in the Applications folder of your home folder.
Firefox on a computer
Firefox for desktop doesn't support installing web apps. You can keep using Sattotal in a tab as usual, or install it from Chrome, Edge or Safari.

What to know when using it as an app
Signing in
The app opens straight to the Dashboard. If you're not signed in, you'll see the sign-in screen and, once you're in, you'll go to the Dashboard. It's the same account as in the browser. On iPhone, iPad and Safari on Mac the installed app keeps its session separate from the browser's, so it's normal for it to ask you to sign in the first time you open it.
It needs an internet connection
It's the same application you use in the browser: it needs the internet to work and doesn't keep a copy of your data on the device.
It updates itself
There's nothing to update by hand or in any store. Improvements arrive at the same time as in the browser.
Photos, signatures and everything else
Taking photos of the device with the camera, signing for the delivery on screen, taking payment or sending a quote all work just as they do in the browser. There are no features that exist only in the app, and none missing from it.
On as many devices as you like
You can install it on the counter computer, on each technician's phone and on a tablet. Installation is per device and per browser: installing it doesn't use up users, doesn't change your plan and is available on every plan.
Is it on Google Play or the App Store?
No. Sattotal isn't downloaded from any app store: you install it from the browser by following the steps on this page. If someone offers you a Sattotal app in a store, it isn't ours.
How to uninstall it
Uninstalling the app only removes its icon and its window from that device. It doesn't delete your account, your repairs or your customers: everything stays in Sattotal, and you can keep signing in from the browser or install it again whenever you like.
Uninstalling on Android
Touch and hold the Sattotal icon and choose “Uninstall”, or drag it to “Uninstall” at the top of the screen. You can also go to Settings → Apps → Sattotal → “Uninstall”. If you added it from Firefox, it's a shortcut: touch and hold the icon and choose “Remove”.
Uninstalling on iPhone and iPad
Touch and hold the Sattotal icon on the Home Screen, choose “Remove App” (on earlier versions, “Delete Bookmark”) and confirm with “Delete”.
Uninstalling on Windows, Linux and Chromebook
Open Sattotal, click the ⋮ menu in its window and choose “Uninstall Sattotal…”. On Windows you can also go to Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find Sattotal and click “Uninstall”. On a Chromebook, right-click the icon and choose “Uninstall”.
Uninstalling on Mac
If you installed it with Safari: in Finder, open your home folder, go into the Applications folder and drag Sattotal to the Trash. If you installed it with Chrome or Edge: open Sattotal, click the ⋮ menu in its window and choose “Uninstall Sattotal…”.
Before uninstalling on a shared device
If other people use that device, sign out from the user menu before uninstalling, so nobody can get into your shop from the browser.
If you don't see the install option
Check that your browser is up to date and that you're not in a private or Incognito window. If you came from a link inside Instagram, Facebook or another app, it opens an in-app browser that doesn't allow installing: open Sattotal in Chrome, Edge or Safari. If the app is already installed on that device, the browser won't offer to install it again.
