Maintenance software for industrial machinery

Compressors, generators, forklifts, machine tools, pumps and control panels with their running hours, their preventive maintenance contracts and a work order signed on the customer's shop floor.

An industrial maintenance company does not work behind a counter. Most of the work happens at the customer's plant, the machine stays where it is, and what matters is not the purchase date but how many hours it has run. Sattotal records each machine by what actually matters for keeping it running: its nameplate data, where it sits in the plant and what its hour meter reads.

With services tracked in a spreadsheet, the compressor that was due at 2,000 hours slips past, the customer calls once the line has already stopped, and nobody remembers what was replaced last time. And when the work order is signed on paper at the plant, it reaches the office days later, if it reaches it at all.

Sattotal keeps a record per machine with power, voltage, pressure and year of manufacture, its location in the plant and the history of its hour meter. Preventive maintenance contracts remind you by date or by running hours, whichever comes first; from the reminder you schedule the visit, the technician gets the work order signed by the customer on a phone, and the contract updates itself.

A record per machine

Compressors, generators, forklifts, machine tools, welders, pumps, motors and control panels, with their nameplate data and serial number.

Running hours

Every hour meter reading is kept with its date and where it came from: workshop intake, a site visit or a manual entry.

Location in the plant

The building, line or room of each machine, so the technician finds it first time in a plant they do not know.

Preventive maintenance

Contracts per customer with an interval in months, in hours or whichever comes first, and a reminder as early as you choose.

Work order signed on site

A visit schedule, a mobile work mode and a work order signed by technician and customer, travel included.

Parts and trade-specific faults

Bearings, windings, drives, mechanical seals or the CNC: a fault catalogue of its own and spare parts stock per warehouse.

Everything you can do in your industrial equipment service business

Compressors, generators, forklifts, machine tools, welders, pumps, motors and electrical panels: every machine with its nameplate, its hour meter, its spot in the customer’s plant and its maintenance plan.

Every machine with its nameplate data

A machine record isn’t a phone record. Sattotal asks for what’s on the nameplate of each type: rated power in kW, or apparent power in kVA for a generator, maximum pressure for a compressor or a pump, current for a welder, load capacity for a forklift, voltage, fuel and year of manufacture.

If the nameplate is worn off or the machine has no serial number, you can still add it and identify it by its location or by your own reference.

  • Nine types: compressor, generator, forklift, machine tool, welder, pump, electric motor, electrical panel and other machinery
  • Each type only asks for what makes sense for it
  • Full history of repairs and visits for every machine
The technical details for each machine type

Running hours with a full history

The hour meter is logged when the machine comes in, when each visit is closed or by hand from its record. Sattotal keeps every reading, so you see how hard each machine works and catch in time when it’s due for an oil change or a bearing inspection.

Where every machine sits in the customer’s plant

An industrial customer has dozens of machines spread across buildings and lines. Each record keeps its location —building, line, compressor room— so your tech walks straight to the machine without asking around, and that location shows up on the work order and in exports.

Preventive maintenance contracts, by date or by hours

Set up a maintenance contract for a customer’s machines with an interval in months, in running hours or whichever comes first. Sattotal flags it in Alerts and in the notification bell when a service is coming up or overdue.

The visit is scheduled right from the contract and, once it’s closed, the contract moves on to the next service on its own, using the hours your tech logged.

  • Reminders as far ahead as you choose
  • Status of every machine: up to date, due soon or overdue
  • Your own contract number (CM-2026-000123) and a regular tech
How preventive maintenance works

On-site visits with a signed work order

Most industrial repairs happen at the customer’s site. Each tech sees their schedule for the day, logs arrival and departure times, the materials used and before-and-after photos, and the plant manager signs the work order on a phone or tablet.

On-site service calls and plant visits

Faults specific to machinery

Twenty-one fault causes built for industry, on top of the general ones: bearings, windings, variable frequency drives, hydraulic and air leaks, pump seals, generator regulators, forklift masts and CNC control errors.

How an industrial service business runs on Sattotal

  1. 1

    Add the machines

Each of the customer’s machines with its nameplate, its location and its hour meter.

  2. 2

    Maintenance contract

Interval in months, in hours or whichever comes first, with its reminders.

  3. 3

    Reminder or breakdown

A service coming due or a call from the customer: the visit is scheduled in no time.

  4. 4

    On-site visit

Arrival, work, materials, photos and the hour meter reading from the tech’s phone.

  5. 5

    Signed work order

The plant manager signs and the contract moves on to the next service by itself.

  6. 6

    Shop if needed

If the machine has to come into the shop, the visit becomes a repair without re-entering anything.

Plus everything any repair shop needs

Each category adapts the record, the faults and the documents to your trade; the rest of Sattotal is the same for every category.

On-site service calls

A schedule for each technician, a work order signed at the customer’s place and the trip charged by distance or at a flat rate.

Preventive maintenance

Contracts with reminders by date or by running hours. When a service is due, you schedule the visit from the contract, and once it’s closed the contract moves on by itself.

Estimates your customer approves online

Send the estimate by email or WhatsApp and the customer approves or declines it from the link. The repair moves to its next status on its own, with a record of who approved it and when.

Signed intake and handover

The customer signs on screen when they drop off and when they pick up. The PDF keeps the exact terms they agreed to, with your logo and the legal wording for your country.

Photos at drop-off and pickup

Take photos on your phone when the item comes in and when it goes out, iPhone HEIC included. If a customer claims a dent was your fault, you have proof of how it arrived.

Parts, warehouses and suppliers

Stock per warehouse, parts reserved for each repair, returns to suppliers (RMA) and AI that reads your supplier invoices.

POS and invoicing

Take payment for the repair, sell accessories from the POS and issue invoices that meet your country’s rules, in the countries where it’s available.

Team, roles and permissions

Front desk, technicians and admin, each with their own permissions. You know who changed what, and every technician sees their own jobs on the board.

AI assistant and daily report

Ask the assistant about your repairs in plain English and get a summary every morning of what came in, what went out and what’s stuck.

Frequently asked questions

Can I track the running hours of each machine?

Yes. The machine record keeps the history of hour meter readings with their date and source: when the machine comes into the workshop, when a visit is completed, or entered by hand. If a reading is lower than the previous one, Sattotal warns you but still saves it, in case the meter was replaced.

How do preventive maintenance contracts work?

You pick the customer's machines and how often each is serviced: every so many months, every so many hours, or whichever comes first. Sattotal flags it in the notification bell and in Alerts when a machine is due or about to be, you schedule the visit from the contract, and once the visit is completed the machine is marked as serviced with that day's date and hours. Contracts are included in the paid plans.

Does it work if almost all my work is at the customer's plant?

Yes. Visits come with a schedule per technician, a mobile work mode, before and after photos, materials and labour, and a work order signed by technician and customer on screen or through a link. Travel can be charged as a flat fee or per kilometre.

What machine data can I store?

Besides make, model and serial number, the nameplate data that matters for each type: power, apparent power for generators, voltage, current, maximum pressure, load capacity, fuel and year of manufacture. Also where it sits in the plant.

Is what I explain to the customer before the work put in writing?

Yes. The receipt the customer signs lists the risks specific to machinery: production downtime while the work lasts, residual energy that requires the machine to be locked out, wear parts that may need replacing once dismantled, and possible oil or fluid leaks.
