Insurance claims are here: the insurance company, the adjuster and their report on every repair

Collision work on a car, a washer covered by homeowners insurance or an insured phone: log the claim on the repair, keep the adjuster's report and see which jobs are still waiting on the appraisal.

When an insurance company is involved, a repair comes with more paperwork: a claim number, a policy, a deductible, an adjuster who has to inspect the damage and a report you need to keep handy. Starting today Sattotal keeps all of it on the repair itself. It works for any kind of job, from collision repair on a car to a refrigerator covered by homeowners insurance or a phone with device protection, and you only turn it on for the repairs that need it.

What's new

1

Your insurance companies and their adjusters

Add the companies you work with under Settings → Insurance companies, with their phone, email and tax ID, plus the adjusters or adjusting firms each one usually sends. You can also create one on the fly from the repair.

2

The claim on any repair

The Insurance claim card on the repair has a Register claim button. Only the insurance company is required: claim and policy numbers, coverage, deductible, adjuster and appraised amount can be added as they come in.

3

The adjuster's report, stored privately

Upload it as a PDF, JPG or PNG. It includes your customer's data, so it's stored privately and every time you open it Sattotal creates a link that expires after five minutes.

4

Where the appraisal stands

Awaiting appraisal, Appraised, Approved or Denied. You update it from the card, with the adjuster's phone and email one tap away.

5

Nothing slips through

Open repairs whose claim is awaiting appraisal show up in Alerts, on the Appraisals tab, and the bell tells you how many there are. In the repairs list, a Claim filter shows only repairs with a claim, those waiting on the adjuster or those from one insurance company.

From check-in to the PDF

1

Flag it at check-in

On the last step of check-in, the “This is an insurance claim” checkbox lets you note the insurance company, claim number, policy and coverage right away. The adjuster, their report and the status are added later on the repair.

2

On the receipt and the estimate

The insurance company and claim number appear on the drop-off receipt and on the PDF estimate, so the customer and the adjuster know which claim the repair belongs to.

3

Read the report with AI

With AI features turned on, the Read report button in the claim window reads the adjuster's report (PDF or photo) and fills in only what's empty: claim number, policy, dates, appraised amount, deductible and adjuster. You review it before saving, and the report is only kept if you upload it with Upload report.

In countries where invoicing is turned on, the invoice for a repair with an insurance claim goes to the insurance company by default, or to the customer if the insurance company only reimburses them. It's a single invoice for the full amount, deductible included, stating what each party pays; the deductible the policyholder pays is covered by a receipt.

Also new for shops in Spain: the default warranty, terms and privacy texts now print in Catalan, Valencian, Galician or Basque when the shop chooses that language for customer documents. Any text the shop has rewritten is kept as is.

Try it in the demo: a refrigerator damaged by a power surge is waiting for the homeowners insurance adjuster.
