Maintenance software for industrial machinery

Compressors, generators, forklift trucks, machine tools, pumps and control panels with their running hours, their preventive maintenance contracts and a work report signed on the customer's site.

An industrial maintenance firm doesn't work behind a counter. Most of the job is done at the customer's plant, the machine stays put, and what counts isn't the purchase date but the hours on the clock. Sattotal records each machine by what really matters for keeping it going: its rating plate data, where it sits on site and what its hour meter reads.

With servicing tracked on a spreadsheet, the compressor due at 2,000 hours slips past, the customer rings once the line has already stopped and nobody remembers what was replaced last time. And when the work report is signed on paper on site, it reaches the office days later, if it turns up at all.

Sattotal keeps a record per machine with power, voltage, pressure and year of manufacture, its location on site and the history of its hour meter. Preventive maintenance contracts remind you by date or by running hours, whichever comes first; from the reminder you book the visit, the technician gets the customer to sign the work report on a mobile and the contract updates itself.

A record per machine

Compressors, generators, forklift trucks, machine tools, welders, pumps, electric motors and control panels, with their rating plate data and serial number.

Running hours

Every hour meter reading is kept with its date and source: workshop intake, a site visit or a manual entry.

Location on site

The building, line or room each machine is in, so the technician finds it first time on a site they don't know.

Preventive maintenance

Contracts per customer with an interval in months, in hours or whichever comes first, and a reminder as far ahead as you choose.

Work report signed on site

A visit schedule, a mobile work mode and a work report signed by technician and customer, travel included.

Parts and trade-specific faults

Bearings, windings, drives, mechanical seals or the CNC: a fault catalogue of your own and spare parts stock per warehouse.

Everything you can do in your industrial machinery service firm

Compressors, generators, forklift trucks, machine tools, welders, pumps, motors and control panels: every machine with its rating plate, its hour meter, its place on the customer’s site and its maintenance plan.

Every machine with its rating plate data

A machine record isn’t a phone record. Sattotal asks for what’s on the rating plate of each type: rated power in kW, or apparent power in kVA for a generator, maximum pressure for a compressor or a pump, current for a welder, load capacity for a forklift truck, voltage, fuel and year of manufacture.

If the plate has worn away or the machine has no serial number, you can add it all the same and identify it by its location or by your own reference.

  • Nine types: compressor, generator, forklift truck, machine tool, welder, pump, electric motor, control panel and other machinery
  • Each type only asks for what makes sense for it
  • Full history of repairs and visits for every machine
The technical details for each machine type

Running hours with a full history

The hour meter is recorded when the machine comes in, when each visit is closed or by hand from its record. Sattotal keeps every reading, so you can see how hard each machine works and spot in good time when it’s due an oil change or a bearing check.

Where each machine sits on the customer’s site

An industrial customer has dozens of machines spread across units and lines. Each record keeps its location —unit, line, compressor house— so the engineer goes straight to the machine without having to ask anyone, and that location appears on the work report and in exports.

Preventive maintenance contracts, by date or by hours

Set up a maintenance contract for a customer’s machines with an interval in months, in running hours or whichever comes first. Sattotal warns you in Alerts and in the notification bell when a service is coming up or overdue.

The visit is booked from the contract itself and, once it’s closed, the contract moves on to the next service by itself with the hours the engineer recorded.

  • Reminders as far ahead as you choose
  • Status of every machine: up to date, due soon or overdue
  • Your own contract number (CM-2026-000123) and a regular engineer
How preventive maintenance works

Site visits with a signed work report

Most industrial repairs are carried out on the customer’s premises. Each engineer sees their diary for the day, records the time in and out, the materials used and before-and-after photos, and the site manager signs the work report on a phone or tablet.

Call-outs and site visits

Faults that belong to machinery

Twenty-one fault causes designed for industry, on top of the general ones: bearings, windings, inverter drives, hydraulic and air leaks, pump seals, generator regulators, forklift masts and CNC control errors.

How an industrial service firm works with Sattotal

  1. 1

    Add the machines

Each of the customer’s machines with its rating plate, its location and its hour meter.

  2. 2

    Maintenance contract

Interval in months, in hours or whichever comes first, with its reminders.

  3. 3

    Reminder or breakdown

A service falling due or a call from the customer: the visit is booked in moments.

  4. 4

    Site visit

Arrival, work, materials, photos and the hour meter reading from the engineer’s phone.

  5. 5

    Signed work report

The site manager signs and the contract moves on to the next service by itself.

  6. 6

    Workshop if needed

If the machine has to come into the workshop, the visit becomes a repair without re-entering anything.

Plus everything any repair business needs

Each category adapts the record, the faults and the paperwork to your trade; the rest of Sattotal is the same for every category.

Call-outs and site visits

A diary for each technician, a job sheet signed at the customer’s premises and travel charged per kilometre or at a flat rate.

Preventive maintenance

Contracts with reminders by date or by running hours. When a service falls due, you book the visit from the contract, and once it’s closed the contract moves on by itself.

Quotes your customer approves online

Send the quote by email or WhatsApp and the customer accepts or turns it down from the link. The repair moves on to its next status by itself, with a record of who approved it and when.

Signed booking-in and handover

The customer signs on screen when they drop the item off and when they collect it. The PDF keeps the exact terms they agreed to, with your logo and the legal wording for your country.

Photos on the way in and out

Take photos on your phone when the item comes in and when it goes back, iPhone HEIC included. If a customer says a knock was your doing, you have proof of how it arrived.

Parts, warehouses and suppliers

Stock by warehouse, parts set aside for each repair, returns to suppliers (RMA) and AI that reads your supplier invoices.

POS and invoicing

Take payment for the repair, sell accessories from the POS and issue invoices that meet your country’s rules, in the countries where it’s available.

Team, roles and permissions

Front counter, technicians and admin, each with their own permissions. You know who changed what, and every technician sees their own work on the board.

AI assistant and daily report

Ask the assistant about your repairs in plain English and get a summary each morning of what came in, what went out and what’s stalled.

Frequently asked questions

Can I log the running hours of each machine?

Yes. The machine record keeps the history of hour meter readings with their date and source: when the machine comes into the workshop, when a visit is completed, or entered by hand. If a reading is lower than the last one, Sattotal flags it but still saves it, in case the meter has been swapped.

How do preventive maintenance contracts work?

You choose the customer's machines and how often each is serviced: every so many months, every so many hours, or whichever comes first. Sattotal flags it in the notification bell and in Alerts when a machine is due or nearly due, you book the visit from the contract and, once the visit is completed, the machine is marked as serviced with that day's date and hours. Contracts are included in the paid plans.

Is it any good if nearly all my work is on the customer's site?

Yes. Visits come with a schedule per technician, a mobile work mode, before and after photos, materials and labour, and a work report signed by technician and customer on screen or via a link. Travel can be charged as a flat fee or per kilometre.

What machine data can I store?

Besides make, model and serial number, the rating plate data that matters for each type: power, apparent power for generators, voltage, current, maximum pressure, load capacity, fuel and year of manufacture. Also where it sits on site.

Is what I tell the customer before the work put in writing?

Yes. The receipt the customer signs sets out the risks specific to machinery: production downtime while the work lasts, residual energy that means the machine has to be isolated and locked off, wear parts that may need replacing once it is stripped down, and possible oil or fluid leaks.
