Drone Repair

Drone repair software

Keep your drone workshop on top of things: every unit gets a serial number, statuses update live, a quote the customer approves by email, and a signed handover form.

Repairing drones has little in common with repairing a laptop. The same customer might bring in the aircraft, two batteries and the controller — and each item has its own history. Add to that the fact most faults turn up after a crash, so recording the drone's condition on arrival matters as much as the repair itself.

Without a record for each unit, it's easy for two customers' batteries and propellers to end up in the same tray within a week, and you're left with no way of proving whether that cracked arm was there on arrival or happened in your workshop. When a customer queries it weeks down the line, your word against theirs gets costly.

Every drone gets its own record in Sattotal — serial number, make, model and status — with arrival and collection photos that document every mark, a quote the customer approves by email, and a signed handover form at collection.

Record with serial number

Log every drone by serial number, make, model and status, so you never confuse two similar-looking units.

Repair statuses

Track each drone through its statuses: awaiting attention, in repair, awaiting parts, quoted, repaired and delivered.

Quotes by email

Send the quote and the customer approves it online, with an automatic record of who approved it and when.

Before-and-after photos

Attach arrival and collection photos (iPhone HEIC included) so there's proof of the unit's condition on both ends.

Frequently asked questions

Can I log the batteries and controller separately from the drone?

Yes — each item is set up as its own record with its own serial number, so you're never left mixing up batteries between two customers.

How do I record the damage a drone already had when it arrived?

Through arrival and collection photos attached to the repair. These are timestamped and linked to the unit, and the customer signs off on the handover form when they collect it.

Does it cover typical drone faults?

Yes. The catalogue covers drone-specific causes such as damaged propellers, motor or ESC failure, gimbal problems, landing gear damage, an uncalibrated IMU, or a lost link with the controller.

Can I keep track of propeller and battery stock?

Yes — parts inventory and supplier orders mean a repair is never held up waiting for something you thought was already on the shelf.

Does the customer approve the quote remotely?

Yes. A lot of drone customers aren't based anywhere near the workshop — they get the quote by email and approve it online, with a log of who approved it and when.
