Electric kick scooters, e-bikes and mopeds come into the shop
A shop already using Sattotal asked for it — they were fixing kick scooters on the same bench as phones. From today they are three more device types, with the vocabulary and the faults of their own trade.
Electric mobility has been sneaking into repair shops for years: first it was one regular customer’s kick scooter, then two a week, and eventually half a bench taken up by batteries and controllers. Until now, those machines had to be logged in Sattotal as «other» and you made do. Not anymore: electric kick scooter, electric bike and electric moped are three device types of their own, with everything that brings.
What changes when you pick one of the three
The serial number becomes a frame number
It is the number stamped on the chassis, which is how the customer asks for it and how the technician looks it up. It lives in the same field as always, so it is searched the same way and prints the same on the receipt and in exports.
A plate, where they carry one
Mopeds always have one and kick scooters do in the countries that require it; bikes do not. The field shows up only where it makes sense, is never mandatory, and is searchable from the list and from global search.
Accessories and intake checks from the trade
Intake offers a charger, a removable battery, keys, a lock, a helmet or the vehicle documents, and asks whether it powers on, whether the display shows anything and whether the battery charges. It no longer asks for a BIOS password.
Fourteen new faults in the catalog
Battery with no range, charger, motor, controller, throttle, pedal assist sensor, display, brakes, tire, lights, folding mechanism, firmware, anti-theft alarm and wiring. And the generic faults you already had — drops, liquid, will not power on — now apply to these vehicles too.
If your shop does not touch electric mobility, you will not notice a thing: the three types are optional and every other device works exactly as it did yesterday.

The deposit receipt the customer signs comes out with the frame number and the plate where it used to say «Serial no.», with nothing to configure. And the assistant now knows what you mean when you ask it about a kick scooter.
