Wellington runs on government departments, agencies and the tech companies around them. A good share of the work arrives on a purchase order rather than over the counter, in batches, with someone expecting an invoice that reconciles.
Batch work breaks whiteboards fastest. Fifteen laptops from one agency need fifteen job cards, fifteen statuses and one invoice, and the person paying is not the person who dropped them off.
Sattotal treats each device as its own repair while keeping the customer and the paperwork together: individual job cards, shared quote approval, parts per device, and documents carrying your GST number.
Job cards with IMEI
Every device is booked in with its IMEI, serial, make and model, so nothing gets mixed up on a busy bench.
Set up for New Zealand
15% GST, amounts in New Zealand dollars and your GST number on the taxable supply information you provide.
Quotes approved in writing
The customer approves by email and the approval is timestamped. Under the Consumer Guarantees Act, with no agreed price you can only charge a reasonable one, so having it in writing protects both sides.
Guarantees you cannot contract out of
Handover documents state the Consumer Guarantees Act position plainly: reasonable care and skill, fitness for purpose, and a reasonable time.
Unclaimed goods handled properly
If a device is never collected, the documents point at section 289 of the Contract and Commercial Law Act, including the part people forget: the surplus from a sale is not yours to keep.
Runs from a phone
Cloud-based, nothing to install, with automatic backups.

Frequently asked questions
Does it suit a repair shop in Wellington?
Yes. Sattotal is cloud-based, so a shop in Wellington can run its repairs from a computer or a phone without installing anything.
Does it use New Zealand GST, not Australian GST?
Yes, and the difference matters: 15% here against 10% across the Tasman. Pick New Zealand as your country and quotes, invoices and receipts follow it.
Does it still say "tax invoice"?
It does not need to. Since 1 April 2023 the rule is to provide and keep taxable supply information rather than to issue a document with that title, so what counts is that the required GST details are there.
What does the Consumer Guarantees Act require?
Services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, be fit for the purpose you were told about, and be finished in a reasonable time and at a reasonable price where none was agreed. Those guarantees cannot be contracted out of in a consumer supply, and section 12 also covers repair facilities and spare parts.
Does the Privacy Act apply to a small shop?
Yes. Unlike Australia, the Privacy Act 2020 has no exemption for small businesses: it applies whatever your turnover. The privacy text in your documents says so.
What does it cost to start?
Nothing. There is a free plan, and pricing per technician once your team grows.
