Riga is Latvia’s capital and its largest city, and many of the teams fixing phones and laptops here work in English day to day. The people bringing devices to the counter, however, are owed consumer information in Latvian.
Under the State Language Law that is an obligation, warranty paperwork included. Rewriting receipts and estimates into Latvian by hand slows the counter down, and a paper the customer cannot understand is little help if the price or the fault is questioned later.
Sattotal keeps the workshop and the customer in their own languages. Staff use English screens, and the deposit receipt, quote, delivery sign-off and technical report are generated in Latvian. Each device keeps its IMEI and intake photos, with 21% PVN and the euro set up from the start.
Latvian documents for every customer
Staff keep working in English, and the receipt, quote, delivery sign-off and technical report handed to the customer are produced in Latvian, in line with the State Language Law.
Updates sent in Latvian
Email and WhatsApp status updates reach the customer in Latvian automatically, so nobody on the team has to translate a message before sending it.
Intake with serial, IMEI and photos
Log brand, model, IMEI or serial number and visible condition on arrival, with photos attached, so every device on the bench is unmistakable.
Customer consent on record
The quote is approved by the customer before you start, and that approval is saved with its date in case the amount is disputed later.

Frequently asked questions
Can a repair shop in Riga use it without installing anything?
Yes. Sattotal works in any browser, so a shop in Riga can book devices in, send quotes and hand them back from a counter PC, a tablet or a phone.
Why are the customer’s documents in Latvian while the interface is English?
Articles 2 and 21 of the State Language Law require consumer-protection information, warranty documents included, to be provided in Latvian. Sattotal therefore produces the receipt, quote, delivery sign-off, technical report, emails and WhatsApp messages in Latvian, while your team keeps the English screens.
Will I need the personas kods of private customers?
No. Sattotal never requests it: private customers are saved with their name and contact details. For companies you can record the Reģ. Nr. (11 digits, checked by its check digit) and the VAT number, LV plus the same digits.
What if a customer leaves a device and never returns?
Under articles 1734 to 1740 of the Civil Law you may hold on to it until the repair is paid for, but selling it is not permitted. Sattotal records each reminder and its date so you can show what you did.
How long can a customer complain about a repair?
Under the Consumer Rights Protection Law, up to 2 years for a non-conforming service, provided they tell you within 2 months of spotting the problem; you first fix it at no charge. Complaints get a written answer within 15 working days, and disputes may go to the PTAC consumer disputes committee.
Can I start without paying?
Yes. The free plan lets you get going straight away, and per-technician pricing applies once your team grows.
