Plenty of Latvian repair workshops operate in English: the owner may not be a native speaker, the technicians may come from abroad, or the team simply finds English tools easier. The State Language Law (Valsts valodas likums), articles 2 and 21, nonetheless requires consumer-protection information, warranty documents included, to be provided in Latvian.
So the language of the workshop and the language owed to the customer are not the same. Producing Latvian versions of each receipt, estimate and status message by hand eats into bench time, invites slips, and leaves you on shaky ground if a customer later disputes what was agreed.
Sattotal handles both languages for you. The interface stays in English for your staff; the deposit receipt, repair quote, delivery sign-off, technical report, emails and WhatsApp messages go out in Latvian. Behind that sits the full repair workflow: IMEI and photos on intake, customer-approved quotes, parts and stock control, and handovers signed on screen, configured for 21% PVN and the euro.
English inside, Latvian outside
Technicians and counter staff see English screens; whatever is handed or sent to the customer is written in Latvian, with no manual translation step.
Reģ. Nr. and VAT number checked
The 11-digit company registration number is validated against its check digit, and the VAT number is accepted as LV followed by those same 11 digits.
Personal code never requested
Private customers are recorded by name and contact details only; Sattotal does not ask them for their personas kods.
Addresses by municipality
Address fields follow Latvia’s 42 municipalities, the 7 state cities and 35 novadi, with postcodes in the LV-1010 format.
Consent before, signature after
Work begins only once the customer has approved the quote, and collection is confirmed with an on-screen signature stored alongside the job.
Stock and repair history together
Check parts on hand and on order, and look up every device a customer has left with you in the past.

Frequently asked questions
Why are customer documents in Latvian when my team uses English?
Articles 2 and 21 of the State Language Law require consumer-protection information, including warranty documents, to be in Latvian. Sattotal separates the two: your people keep the English interface, and what the customer receives is generated in Latvian.
What exactly comes out in Latvian?
The intake or deposit receipt, the repair quote, the delivery sign-off, the technical report, plus every email and WhatsApp message addressed to the customer.
What does Latvian consumer law expect from a repairer?
Under the Consumer Rights Protection Law (Patērētāju tiesību aizsardzības likums) a customer can claim for a service that does not conform within 2 years, telling you within 2 months of noticing the fault, and your first obligation is to put it right free of charge. Written complaints need a written reply within 15 working days, and unresolved disputes can be taken to the PTAC consumer disputes committee.
Can I sell a device that is never collected?
No. Articles 1734 to 1740 of the Civil Law let you retain the device until the bill is paid, but they do not let you sell it. Sattotal logs every reminder you send, with its date, so the history is clear.
Which devices can I book in?
Phones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers, consoles and other electronics, each recorded with IMEI or serial number, brand, model and intake photos.
Do I have to pay to try it?
No. You can begin on the free plan and move to per-technician pricing when you take on more staff.
