Repair shop software in Estonia

English on your screens, Estonian on everything the customer takes home, as the Consumer Protection Act asks of anyone serving consumers.

A good number of Estonian repair shops run in English, whether because of who works at the bench or because the team simply prefers English tools. Section 4(3) of the Consumer Protection Act (Tarbijakaitseseadus), however, requires information for consumers to be in Estonian unless the consumer agrees otherwise.

That puts the shop’s working language and the customer’s language at odds. Preparing Estonian versions of every receipt, estimate and status message by hand slows the counter, lets errors creep in and weakens your position if a customer later disputes what was agreed.

Sattotal bridges the two. Staff stay on the English interface, while the deposit receipt, repair estimate, delivery sign-off, technical report, emails and WhatsApp messages are generated in Estonian. Underneath runs the complete repair workflow: IMEI and photos at intake, estimates approved by the customer, parts and stock, and handovers signed on screen, set up for 24% käibemaks and the euro.

Staff in English, customers in Estonian

Counter and bench work in English; every document or message meant for the customer is produced in Estonian, with no translation left for you to do.

Registrikood and KMKR validated

The 8-digit registry code and the VAT number (EE followed by 9 digits) are both checked against their check digit before a business customer is saved.

No isikukood from private customers

Private customers are stored with their name and contact details; Sattotal never requests their Estonian personal code.

Addresses by county

Addresses end with one of the 15 maakonnad, such as Harju maakond, and use the 5-digit postcode format (for example 10145).

Binding estimates, signed collections

The customer accepts the estimate before the repair starts and signs on screen when collecting, and both records stay attached to the job.

Every past repair at hand

Look up any device a customer has brought in before, alongside the parts in stock and those still on order.

Frequently asked questions

Why generate Estonian documents when the team uses English?

Because § 4(3) of the Consumer Protection Act requires information for consumers to be in Estonian unless they agree otherwise. Sattotal keeps your interface in English and produces everything addressed to the customer in Estonian automatically.

Which paperwork is produced in Estonian?

The intake or deposit receipt, the repair estimate, the delivery sign-off and the technical report, together with every email and WhatsApp message sent to the customer.

What does Estonian law expect from a repairer?

Consumer repairs are governed by §§ 635–654 of the Law of Obligations Act (Võlaõigusseadus). You are liable for defects for 2 years, those appearing in the first 6 months are presumed to have existed already, and the customer should notify you within 2 months of discovering them. Under § 639 the estimate is binding unless agreed otherwise. Complaints must be answered within 15 days (Tarbijakaitseseadus § 24), and disputes go to the Consumer Disputes Committee at the TTJA.

May I sell a device the customer never picks up?

Only by following the rules. Section 654 of the Law of Obligations Act gives you a statutory pledge over the item for unpaid work, and §§ 292–295 of the Law of Property Act allow a sale after one month’s notice, as a rule at public auction, with any surplus returned to the customer. A clause saying the device becomes the shop’s property is void. Sattotal records each notice and its date.

What kinds of devices can I register?

Phones, tablets, laptops, desktop PCs, consoles and other electronics, each with its IMEI or serial number, brand, model and intake photos.

Is there a way to try it at no cost?

Yes. Start on the free plan, and switch to per-technician pricing when you add people to the team.
