Drone Repairs

Software for drone repairs

Keep your drone repair business running smoothly: every unit logged with a serial number, clear repair statuses, an estimate the customer approves by email, and a signed collection form.

Fixing drones is a different job entirely from fixing a laptop. The one customer might drop off the aircraft, two batteries and the transmitter — and every one of those has its own history. Add to that the fact most damage only shows up after a crash, so noting the drone's condition on the way in matters just as much as the repair itself.

No record per device, and before long you've got batteries and propellers from three different customers all mixed in together, with no way of telling whether that cracked arm was there when the drone came in the door or happened on your bench. A customer comes back with a complaint weeks later, and it's your word against theirs — that adds up fast.

With Sattotal, every drone gets its own record — serial number, make, model and status — plus photos on the way in and on the way out to document every mark, an estimate the customer approves by email, and a signed collection form when they call for it.

Record with serial number

Log every drone with its serial number, make, model and status, so you're never mixing up two units that look alike.

Repair statuses

Follow each drone through its statuses: waiting, in repair, awaiting parts, estimate sent, repaired and collected.

Estimates by email

Send the estimate and the customer approves it online. Sattotal logs who approved it and when, automatically.

Before-and-after photos

Attach photos on the way in and on the way out (iPhone HEIC included) as your record of the unit's condition.

Frequently asked questions

Can I log the batteries and transmitter separately from the drone itself?

You can. Each item gets its own record and its own serial number, so there's no mixing up batteries between different customers.

How do I note down the damage a drone already had on the way in?

Photos on the way in and on the way out, added straight to the repair. They're dated and tied to the unit, and the customer signs the collection form when they come to pick it up.

Does it cover the usual drone problems?

It does. The catalogue includes drone-specific causes like damaged propellers, a motor or ESC fault, gimbal trouble, landing gear damage, an uncalibrated IMU, or a dropped link with the transmitter.

Can I keep tabs on propeller and battery stock?

Yes, with parts inventory and supplier orders, so you're never stuck mid-repair waiting on a part you assumed was in stock.

Does the customer approve the estimate from a distance?

Yes — plenty of drone customers are nowhere near the shop. They get the estimate by email, approve it online, and it's all logged: who approved it and when.
